Born in Tomsk, Russia, Aleksandra's early years were shaped by a passion for the performing arts, from dance and classical guitar to theatre and martial arts like jiu-jitsu and hapkido. By the age of 15, she had earned a diploma in classical acoustic guitar and was already performing at the “Experimental Theatre for Young Adults” in Safonovo City. It was here that Aleksandra discovered her true calling—acting.
In 2008, Aleksandra earned a full scholarship to study at The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), Russia’s most prestigious film school. During her studies, she graced the stages of Moscow’s musical and dramatic theatres, showcasing her talents in a wide variety of roles. By the time she graduated, she had starred in three diploma plays and earned the coveted “Golden Leaf” Award for Best Theatre Actress in 2012 for her performance in Viktor Rozov’s In Search of Happiness: A Comedy in Two Acts.
After graduation, Aleksandra toured with Sergey Bezrukov’s Theatre, starring in Pushkin as Alexandrine Goncharova, and took on the role of Gerda in the musical Snow Queen at The Young Actors Musical Theatre of Moscow. Her talents soon extended beyond the stage as she appeared in a number of television programs and short films across Russia.
A method actress with an intense commitment to her craft, Aleksandra’s pursuit of artistic growth led her to move to Canada in 2013. Inspired by North American cinema’s finest, she was invited to train with Ivanna Chubbuck in Los Angeles. Following this, Aleksandra attended the Toronto Film School, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting for Film and Television, further honing her skills.
Aleksandra's star is undeniably on the rise. Following her acclaimed performance in Grand Cancan, which continues to receive accolades at international film festivals like the MIFF Awards, Phoenix Film Festival, and Vienna Independent Film Festival, she shows no signs of slowing down.
Expanding her repertoire, Aleksandra has ventured into voice-over work with industry giants such as Ubisoft, lending her talents to high-profile projects that highlight her versatility. Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be a landmark year, with two highly anticipated feature films—Mayday and Trust Me I Am a Doctor—currently in post-production and slated for release. With such an impressive range of projects on the horizon, Aleksandra's trajectory is one to watch closely as she continues to bring depth and dedication to every role she takes on.
